You can go back. Memories do not dilute with time. The world ages, blood settles in corpses, desultory snowflakes fall on cobbles left greasy by a cold thick wind. Clown faces white and patchy peer out from buildings less imposing in reality than in rememberance. A scratched out and faded nameplate by a bellpush. A door to the past behind which oblivious strangers live.
